Al-Fadl (al-Fudayl) ibn Dukayn narrated to us, from Zuhayr, from Abu Ishaq, from Abu al-Ahwas—I heard it from him—from Abdullah, that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said to a people who were staying behind from the Friday prayer: "I have indeed considered commanding a man to lead the people in prayer, then I would burn down the houses of the men who stay behind from the Friday prayer."
