Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:3431

Jarir narrated to us, from Mughira, from Hammad, from Ibrahim, who said: "If the prayer with the Imam escapes you, then pray like his prayer." Ibrahim said: "And if you meet the people returning, then enter the nearest mosque, then pray the prayer of the Imam. And whoever does not go out to the Eid, let him pray like the prayer of the Imam."
