Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu Khalid al-Ahmar narrated to us, from Abd al-Hamid ibn Ja'far, from Wahb ibn Kaysan, who said: Two Eids coincided during the time of Ibn al-Zubayr, so he delayed the going out, then he went out and delivered the sermon, and he prolonged the sermon, then he prayed and did not go out for the Jumu'ah. Some people criticized him for that, and that reached Ibn Abbas. He said: "He hit upon the Sunnah." That reached Ibn al-Zubayr, and he said: "I witnessed the Eid with Umar, and he did as I have done."
