Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:3663

Abu Mu'awiyah and Ibn Numayr narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Sa'id ibn 'Ubaydah, from al-Mustawrid ibn al-Ahnaf, from Silah, from Hudhayfah, who said: I prayed with the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. When he passed by a verse containing glorification (tasbih), he would glorify; when he passed by a request (su'al), he would request; and when he passed by a seeking of refuge (ta'awwudh), he would seek refuge.
