Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:4052

Waki’ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Ibn Jurayj, from ‘Ata’, who said: If he fears missing a rak’ah, he should enter with them and not pray them [the two rak’ahs of sunnah].
