Waki' narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Qays narrated to us, from 'Amir al-Juhani, that 'Umar ibn al-Khattab used to not perform Qunut in the dawn prayer. And 'Amir said: "Qunut did not exist until the people of Syria came."
