Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:4752

Ya'qub ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, from Ash'ath, from al-Sha'bi and Ibn Sirin, that they both said: Regarding the one whom the Imam has preceded: if you perform [the prayer] after him, then perform your recitation.
