Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, from Yahya ibn Sa'id, from 'Abdullah ibn Hubayrah, that Usayd ibn Hudayr used to lead the Banu 'Abd al-Ashhal in prayer. He fell ill, and after his illness, he went out to them. They said to him, "Step forward." He said, "I cannot pray [standing]." They said, "No one shall lead us in prayer other than you as long as you are [present]." He said, "Sit down." So he prayed with them while sitting.
