Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:4802

Al-Thaqafi narrated to us, from Ayyub, from Nafi’, from Aslam, who said: Umar wrote that one should not sleep before he prays it [the Isha prayer]. So whoever sleeps, then may his eyes not sleep.
