Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:4939

Hafs narrated to us, from Shu'bah, from Qatadah, from al-Hasan, who said: He used to dislike that one should cover his nose and his mouth together. And he did not see any harm in one covering his mouth without his nose.
