Waki’ narrated to us, he said: Hisham ibn ‘Urwah narrated to us, from his father, who said: The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, commanded the building of mosques in the residential quarters, and he commanded that they be cleaned and perfumed—meaning the tribes.
