Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:5171

Waki’ narrated to us, Hisham bin ‘Urwah narrated to us, from his father, from ‘Aishah, that they were discussing in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) during his illness. Umm Salamah or Umm Habibah mentioned a church she had seen in the land of Abyssinia, in which there were images. The Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "Those were people who, when a righteous man among them died, would build a place of worship over his grave and depict images in it. Those are the worst of creation in the sight of Allah."
