Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:5322

Thaqafi narrated to us, from Khalid, from Ikrimah, that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) stood in Ramadan in some of his chambers praying, and they followed his voice. When he became aware of them, he lowered his voice.
