Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:5350

Abu Khalid al-Ahmar narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Ibrahim, who said: The Imam would pray with the people in the mosque, while those performing the night prayer (al-mutahajjidun) would pray in the corners of the mosque by themselves.
