Waki’ narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Zayd, from Shu’bah, the freed slave of Ibn Abbas, who said: Ibn Abbas used to say to me, "Has the *fay’* (shadow) declined?" And if I said, "Yes," he would stand up and pray.
