Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:55

Mu'adh ibn Mu'adh narrated to us, from Ibn Abi 'Aruba, from Qatada, from al-Hasan, who said: The companions of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, in their prayer, were as if their hands were fans when they bowed and when they raised their heads.
