Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:5619

Waki' narrated to us, from Ali ibn Mubarak, from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, from Iyad ibn Hilal, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "If the devil comes to one of you while he is in his prayer and says to him, 'You have broken your ablution,' then let him say, 'You have lied,' unless he finds its odor with his nose or hears its sound with his ear."
