Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, he said: Sufyan narrated to us, from Abu Bakr ibn Abi al-Jahm ibn Sakhr al-Adawi, from Ubayd Allah ibn Abd Allah ibn Utbah, from Ibn Abbas, he said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) performed the prayer of fear at Dhu Qard, a land from the lands of Banu Sulaym. He arranged the people into two rows, a row behind him facing the enemy. He performed one rak'ah with the row that was next to him. Then, these [people] retreated to the position of those, and those [people] retreated to the position of these, and he performed one rak'ah with them.
