Waki’ narrated to us, he said: Sufyan narrated to us, from Ash’ath, from Abu al-Sha’tha’, from al-Aswad ibn Hilal, from Tha’labah ibn Zahdam al-Hanzali, he said: We were with Sa’id ibn al-‘As in Tabaristan, and Hudhayfah was with us. Sa’id said: "Which of you prayed the prayer of fear with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace?" Hudhayfah said: "I did." He said: "So he led the people in prayer." Sufyan said: Then he mentioned the hadith of Ibn Abbas and Zayd ibn Thabit.
