Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:5927

Ibn Numayr narrated to us, he said: 'Abd al-Malik informed us, from 'Ata', from Jabir, who said: The sun eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) on the day Ibrahim, the son of the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), died. The people said: "The sun only eclipsed because of the death of Ibrahim." So the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) stood up and prayed with the people six rak'ahs and four prostrations. He began by saying the takbir, then he recited and lengthened the recitation. Then he bowed for a duration similar to his standing. Then he raised his head from the bowing and recited a recitation shorter than the second one. Then he bowed for a duration similar to his standing. Then he raised his head from the bowing, then descended into prostration and performed two prostrations. Then he stood and bowed again three rak'ahs; there was no rak'ah among them except that the one before it was longer than the one after it, and his bowing was similar to his prostration. Then he moved backward, and the rows behind him moved backward until he reached the women. Then he moved forward, and the people moved forward with him until he stood in his place. He finished when he finished, and the sun had brightened. He said: "O people, the sun and the moon are two signs from the signs of Allah; they do not eclipse for the death of any human being. So if you see anything of that, then pray until it clears."
