Abu Bakr ibn Ayyash narrated to us, from Abu Husayn, from Abu al-Ahwas, who said: Abdullah said: "A man's prayer in congregation is better than his prayer in his marketplace or alone by twenty-some degrees." He said: "And it used to be commanded that the steps be taken close together."
