Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:603

Mu'awiyah ibn Hisham narrated to us, he said: Sufyan [narrated] from Hajjaj ibn Farafisah, from the one who mentioned it, from Abu al-Darda', that he passed by a man who was not completing the bowing (ruku') nor the prostration (sujud). It was said to him [about that], so Abu al-Darda' said: "Something is better than nothing."
