Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:6047

Abu Usama narrated to us, he said: Isma'il ibn Zarbi narrated to us, he said: Zabban ibn Sabra al-Hanafi narrated to us, that he witnessed the day of Nahrawan. He said: And I was among those who extracted Dhu al-Thudayya, so I brought the good news of him to Ali before he reached him. Then I reached him while he was prostrating out of joy for him.
