Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:6053

Hafs ibn Ghiyath narrated to us, from Uthman ibn al-Aswad, from Mujahid, that he said: "Supplication (al-du'a)..." and he gestured with one finger, "is the repeller of the devil."
