Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:6059

Jarir narrated to us, from Mughirah, from Ibrahim, who said: "If a man gestures with his finger in prayer, it is good, and it is the [declaration of] Tawhid. However, he should not gesture with his two fingers, for that is disliked."
