Hushaym narrated to us, from al-‘Ala’ ibn Zayd, from al-Hasan—or someone else, the doubt is mine—that the companions of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to pray during their travels upon their mounts, whichever direction they were facing.
