Hadith 3:6289

Abu al-Ahwas narrated to us, from Simak, from Ikrimah, from Ibn Abbas, who said: I was approached while I was asleep during Ramadan, and it was said to me, "Indeed, tonight is the Night of Decree (Laylat al-Qadr)." He said: So I stood up while I was drowsy, and I clung to some of the ropes of the tent of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. I came to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, while he was praying, and I looked into the night, and it was the twenty-third night. He said: And Ibn Abbas said, "Indeed, the devil rises with the sun every night except for the Night of Decree, and that is because it rises on that day white, having no rays."
