Ibn ‘Ulayyah narrated to us, from al-Jurayri, from Hayyan (Habab) ibn ‘Umayr, who said: I was with Qays ibn ‘Abbad, and he saw a man praying who had taken his hand out from his chest area. He said: "Go to that man and say to him: 'You are placing your hand in the place of the hand of the shackled one.'" So I went to him and said: "Qays says: 'Place your hand in the place of the hand of the shackled one.'" So he placed it there.
