Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:7

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn Idris narrated to us, from Layth, from Mujahid and Tawus, they both said: The Tashahhud is the completion of the prayer, and the Taslim is the conclusion of it.
