Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:846

Ibn ‘Ulayyah narrated to us, from ‘Awf, from Abu al-Minhal, from Abu Burdah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to pray the *Hajir*—which you call the *Ula* (Dhuhr)—when the sun declined. He would pray the *Asr*, and then one of us would return to his dwelling at the furthest part of Medina while the sun was still bright. He said: And I forgot what he said regarding the *Maghrib*. He said: And he used to like to delay the *Isha*, which you call the *Atamah*. He would turn away from the *Ghadah* (Fajr) prayer when a man could recognize the person sitting next to him, and he would recite between sixty to one hundred verses.
