Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:923

Ibn ‘Ulayyah narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, from Nafi’, who said: Ibn ‘Umar used to pray the ‘Asr [prayer] while the sun was white and pure. He would hasten it at one time and delay it at another.
