Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:937

Ibn Mahdi narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Abu Ishaq, who said: I came to Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Aswad while he was performing ablution. He said: "The heat has overcome us regarding our prayer, so hasten it," meaning the Asr prayer.
