Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 3:952

Husayn ibn Ali narrated to us, from Ja'far ibn Burqan, from al-Zuhri, from a man—I think he said: from the sons of the Nuqaba (chiefs)—from his father, who said: We used to pray the Maghrib prayer with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, then we would return to our dwellings while one of us could still see the landing places of arrows. I said to al-Zuhri: "And how far were their dwellings from Medina?" He said: "Two-thirds of a mile."
