Husayn ibn Ali narrated to us, from Za'idah, from Simak, from Ikrimah, from Ibn Abbas, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) and his companions prayed towards Bayt al-Maqdis for sixteen months. Then the Qibla was changed after that.
