Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 1:1017

Ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from Layth, from Sa’id ibn Jubayr, regarding a menstruating woman whose garment is touched by her blood: He said: She shall wash it, then smear the place of it with wars (a yellow dye), saffron, or ambergris.
