Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 1:1075

Ibn ‘Uyaynah narrated to us, from his father, from al-Hakam, regarding the sick person who becomes in a state of major ritual impurity (junub) and fears for himself if he performs ghusl (full body wash): He said, "He shall perform tayammum."
