Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 1:1192

Waki’ narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Qays al-Asadi, from Ali ibn Abi ‘A’ishah, who said: Umar was a hairy man, and he used to shave the hair from himself. Mention was made to him of depilatory cream (al-nura), and he said: "Depilatory cream is of the comforts (of life)."
