Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 1:1206

Hafs narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Rawwad, from Ikrimah, who said: He used to say, "If a man enters the privy and he is wearing a ring upon which is the remembrance of Allah the Exalted, he should place the ring toward the inside of his palm, then close his finger over it."
