Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 1:1299

Muhammad bin Bakr narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, who said: I said to 'Ata: "Regarding the male infant, as long as he does not eat food, should one wash one's garment from his urine and also his excrement?" He said: "Sprinkle water upon it, or pour it upon it." I said: "What about the infant who licks [something] before he eats food, such as ghee or honey, and that is food?" He said: "Sprinkle upon it, or pour upon it."
