Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 1:1347

Hushaym narrated to us, from Abu Bishr, from Ikrimah, that Umm Habibah bint Jahsh experienced *istihada* (prolonged non-menstrual bleeding), so she asked the Prophet (peace be upon him), or it was asked on her behalf. He commanded her to observe the days of her *iqra'* (menstrual cycles), then to perform *ghusl* (ritual bath). If she saw anything after that, she was to perform *wudu* (ablution), use a pad (or stuffing), and pray.
