Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 1:1411

Abu al-Ahwas narrated to us, from Abu Hamza, from Ibrahim, who said: If a man sleeps while standing or sitting, ablution is not obligatory upon him. But if he places his side [on the ground], ablution becomes obligatory upon him.
