Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 1:1427

Isma'il ibn 'Ulayyah narrated to us, from Ayyub, from Muhammad, who said: I was informed that an old man from the Ansar used to pass by a gathering of theirs and say: "Repeat your ablution, for some of what you are saying is worse than the ritual impurity (hadath)."
