1493. Sa'id ibn Yahya al-Himyari narrated to us, he said: Abu al-'Ala' narrated to us, he said: We were with Qatadah, and they discussed in his presence the statement of Ibrahim and the statement of the Kufans regarding spittle, that it should be washed. Qatadah scratched his leg, then took something of his saliva, then rubbed it over it to show us that it is nothing.
