Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 1:1510

Ibn ‘Uyaynah narrated to us, from Manbudh, from his mother, that she used to travel with Maymunah. She would pass by a pool of water containing dung beetles and animal droppings, so she would draw water for her from it, and she would perform ablution with it and drink.
