Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 1:154

Ibn ‘Ulayyah narrated to us, from Ayyub, from Nafi’, that Ibn ‘Umar used to wipe his head like this. And Ayyub placed his palm in the middle of his head, then moved it to the front of his head.
