Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 1:1555

Abu Bakr ibn Ayyash narrated to us, from Hisham Sahib al-Dastawa'i, from Qatadah, from Ibn al-Musayyib, who said: The person in a state of major ritual impurity (junub) may pass through the mosque, but he may not sit in it.
