Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 1:1594

Jarir narrated to us, from Qabus, from his father, from Ibn Abbas, who said: "One may wipe [with water] from the purification of the funeral [prayer], but one may not wipe [with water] from the purification of the [obligatory] prayer."
