Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 1:1664

Waki’ narrated to us, from Mis’ar, from Bukayr ibn al-Akhnas, from al-Hasan ibn Muslim: "And [do not approach prayer] while in a state of major ritual impurity, except those passing through [a way]," meaning: except if you are travelers, then perform tayammum.
