Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 1:1768

Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from 'Abd al-Malik ibn Maysarah, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, who said: I and some people from the Arabs differed regarding "the touch" (al-lams). I and some people from the non-Arabs (mawali) said: "The touch is what is less than sexual intercourse." The Arabs said: "It is sexual intercourse." So we came to Ibn 'Abbas, and he said: "The Arabs have prevailed; it is sexual intercourse."
