Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 1:1842

Ibn ‘Ulayyah narrated to us, from Khalid al-Hadhdha’, who said: It reached me that Ibn ‘Umar used to say: "It is sufficient for him of water like this," and he described that he would immerse both his hands in the water. He would wipe his head like this, and he placed his palms in the middle of his head, then he moved them to the front of his head.
